ABOUT THE ARTIST Tyler has been an artist all her life, working in various mediums and forms. Majoring in Art she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bowling Green University. She enjoys painting in oils, acrylics, watercolor, and pen & ink. Having an affinity for drawing and with her love of animals it was natural that Tyler has also become an excellent, in demand, pet portrait artist. She has four rescued cats as constant inspiration! Tyler has designed and donated a series of cat and dog- pen & ink drawings and cards for various shelters and thrift shops as well as also volunteering her many artistic talents for various fundraisers including Habitat for Humanity, and Hibiscus Children's Center. Loving the freedom of painting large, with an eye for detail, she is also a much in demand Muralist. Her work is on walls throughout Florida, Ohio, and in Italy. A member of the Jensen Beach Art League and an officer in the Art Associates of Martin County. She can be contacted at her home studio in Jensen Beach.
First of all I want to thank you for visiting my site and looking at my work. Painting to me is truly enjoyable, I never have a "quota" or feel I need to crank out a painting every day. I paint because I want to paint- a scene inspires me, or a person's face, an animals mischief, its always something that catches my mind and I have to paint it. When I paint, I am more about painting the feelings, the mood, the colors, the textures. I try not to pigeonhole myself into one strict style, it varies according to what I am painting and how I want to portray the feeling. Most of my work would be called an "impressionistic" style which leaves me a lot of room for personal expression. I do accept commissions for any art work you would personally want done. I can work from a photograph or several photographs to get the desired picture you want. Those can be emailed to me. I also am making available for special order some larger prints on poster paper or canvas. In this web site I am striving to offer "affordable art"- this is why I am offering prints/giclees (printed with archival inks on beautiful white watercolor paper ) the 11 x 14 is printed on coated white stock . I am not including matting , foam board or framing as this is something you can do or have done locally and save yourself some money. I feel art is to be shared and enjoyed by everyone-no matter what your budget. By the way, the "watermark-TYLER HOLLIS " written across the larger images is not on the art you will receive-this is solely to protect my works from being illegally copied.
